Canoeing and Kayaking
Canoeing and Kayaking

Canoe and kayak trips are a peaceful way for the nature enthusiasts or photographer to enjoy the outdoors.  Paddle along Flagstaff Lake or maybe a short flat water trip on one of our local slow moving rivers may be more your speed. Enjoy the quiet surroundings while keeping an eye out for wildlife trying to blend into the scenery.

Private, family, groups, longer day and overnight trips are available with reservations required.

Canoe Trips
Private trips allow you to focus on your personal goals.  Maybe a sunrise float on the lake or a more adventurous river trip, you decide.
1 on 1 canoe trip - It would be just you and I in a canoe. This means the amount you would need to paddle would be minimal, just enough to help get us from place to place. The pace is very relaxing. $175
2 on 1 canoe trip option #1   If you bring a partner, then the two of you would be in a canoe together and I would kayak.    $180
2 on 1 canoe trip option #2   I could have a helper come and each of you would be in a canoe with someone else. The fee for this would be $225, and I ask for a gratuity for the helper.

Family and friends trip can provide the opportunity to get out on the water with your kids (or parents) for a paddle to a see a moose or other wildlife.  Take a little extra time to enjoy a shore lunch with the family and possibly spot an eagle flying by.  $200 Based on 3 people, 2 canoes.  $30 each additional canoe.

Group trips
are provided for both small and large (tour bus) groups and are based on the groups overall goals and abilities.  Whether your group is 10 or 40 we can assist you.  Go to our
Tour Buses page for more info.  For a short paddle, a group of 20+ it is $20 per person for the entire group.
(35 on trip then 35 X $20) regardless of canoe numbers.
Small groups 12-19 $400.

Kayak Trips
Kayak trips
are now available for those who may are looking to do a little exploring.  Get into some seldom seen areas where a kayak may be the only means of travel.
A couple of kayak trips we offer are (water levels permitting):
The upper part of the Kennebedo River into the logans looking for moose, loons and other wildlife then paddle back up stream or portage $250*
The south branch of the dead river from Langtown to Coplin.

*Trips based on 2-3 people.  Kayak rental, PFD's, paddles & guide included.
$25 each additional person.

Overnight Trips
Overnight trips
are available to wilderness campsites or to one of the
Maine Huts and Trails huts.  Most of our overnight trips actually start at daybreak and we are at the destination shortly after lunch.  Pricing may vary depending on trip.

Wind and weather are always a considerable factor with all canoe and Kayak trips.
